I'm definately noticing that Vie -- and I was SUCH a sugar addict. I'm even finding that one packet of Splenda in my morning coffee makes it just toooo sweet. I'm even finding that almonds taste very sweet to me. I ate an orange last night and it was so delicious -- and usually I find them kind of tart-tasting.

This diet is wonderful and really shows us how addicted we were to that "sweet" taste.

>With all this talk of

sugar-free products I thought I'd share my

sweet stuff

Thanks for bringing this up. I’ve been wondering about this

lately. I’m having cravings (and giving in to them unfortunately) and

trying to do phase 1 to get back on track. However, I’ve been thinking

that just getting the un-natural sweet taste from sugar subs is part of what’s

sabotaging me. Maybe I’ll throw out the sugar free chocolate and start

Phase 1 again without the sugar subs.

Maybe I will be there one day. But, for now... having that 'No Sugar Added'

fudgsicle at the end of the day, or the sugar free popsicle, is what helps my

day to feel complete. Since I was a little girl, I had a sweet treat at the end

of the day. My day does not feel complete without it. Now, perhaps one day, I

can replace that with an orange or something.

But, if having 1 fudgsicle helps me to stick with my new way of eating... I will

continue to eat it. FOr me, if I didn't have a sugar sub product at all, this

would be so much more difficult and I'd be more likely to quit. And, I have not

found that having the fudgsicle at the end of the day makes me crave sweets

continually during the day. I just look forward to my nighttime treat!

Just my own thoughts, and what helps me!
