Guest guest Posted June 24, 2001 Report Share Posted June 24, 2001 Hi all, Questions about the dreaded depakote again. Why is it not good with the KGD apart from the diet not working properly? Are there added risks when the two are used together? I'm asking because at the start of the diet Rohan had a sz-free period of one month, since starting to wean the depakote he had sleep sz on certain nights. When he was med-free at the end of the dep wean seizures went back to daytime. Now since the 4th month night sz have come back and this month (6th after med-free) they are amost all sleep-sz with them increasing in number and frequency each night. I know the dr. will want to add some AED, and I thought why not depakote, if it works to stop the sz? We have tried most of the AEDs except Keppra and Zonsimide.
