Guest guest
Someone mentioned an extra push. I was one who read the SB Diet book and thought it was so simple I would have no problems. I just needed the push to get started. My big roadblock was soda. I drank diet soda like it was going out of style. I had a few cans at work and the people I work with hid them on me and said I needed to get control of how I ate and what I drank. They explained they weren't trying to be mean but only wanted to help me. It did help. The next day I started on the SB Diet and lost 3.5 pounds my first week. Now I'm at a bit of a plateau where I discovered sugar free low carb candy and tend to eat that more than the healthy snacks. I'm figuring with the holiday I will take it easy and not go overboard but once Monday comes along, back to phase 1. My diabetes doctor, an endocrinologist, recommended the SBD to me over Atkins. I believe there was another diabetic whose doctor told her to go on SBD. I was hungry off and on the first 3-4 days but since then I've been feeling good. The first two weeks I lost 8 pounds and haven't lost any since I've been on Phase 2 - 6 days. Damn! I'll keep going anyway because I am feeling better on this way of eating. lie
