Gees, a dime you say????? my hair is very short and the bottom in the back

is that thick when pulled together.....Might not hurt to ask a hair dresser,

I have really damaged hair from dying it and i asked why when i dye it does

all the color come out and hardly any stays on my hair and she told me I

probably have loss all my protein. I would of never thought of that....She

also told me that with every thing I have done to my hair it ALL should have

fell out a long time ago. I would just go and see what they have to say.

Hair is there job, they might have something to say about it. Let me know.

LOL. Jacy, you have more hair on your head than I do if I trippled

it! LOL.

Put it this way, My hair is all one length, no bangs. So I can take

all my hair together into a ponytail. The diamiter of all the hair

pulled together at it's thickest point is about the same as a dime.

VERY thin - so I can't afford to loose!

I do believe it was probably stress at first, but stress has went way

down with the oldest now gone and all that horrific business over

with. But it's still falling out. I have an appointment with a

dermotolisist and am taking l-methionine. The appointment isn't

until January though.

I have a hair problem as well. But it has nothing to do w/weight

loss. How often are you washing your hair. I usually wash mine

every other day. If I skip that other day and wash my hair

afterwards, more comes off than should.

Also, does it run in your family? If it does, you could be losing it

because of genes. Check it out with a dermatologist.

My mom went to beauty colage back when I was tiny.

There are 3 layers of the hair - I have 2 :-(

Not exactly rare or uncommon - but not something you see everyday,

and generaly only on blonds. My hair is like a new babies hair -

real soft and slick - can't harley keep a barret or band in it. But

that shouldn't make it fall out.

I'm anxious to see what the dermotologist has to say. I do protien

and carbs - so that's not it.

I was wondering if after a 'certain point' in wieght loos - maybe the

body just does that for some reason. This is the first time I've

lost over 50 pounds.

Well - I know that we loose a good ? hundred strands daily (and ae

suppose to). When you say more comes out if you skip a day, is it

just thast your getting some out from the day before?

Just curious.

Because your post made me thing that maybe the hair folicals being

dirty cause more loss - anyone know about that?

I use to wash my hair every day - some times even twice. It is so

lite in color, thin and strait that only for a few hours after being

washed does it look fresh and not flat. But because it seems to get

damaged and fall out so fast for no reason, I have gotten to whear I

only VERY GENTELY with a wide tooth comb comb it up into a clip in

the morning, don't touch it or hair spray it or anything all day,

then don't even comb it at night. Also, I know that the natural oils

are best for the hair (maybe not the scalp though - I don't know) and

that the best for the hair is to only wash once a week and brush the

oils to the ends. Well, that might look fine and shiney and healthy

on dark hair - but on thin blond hair it looks nasty! I just keep it

up, don't comb or brush except the once in the am, and only wsh when

I have to (about once every 3 or 4 days).

I wonder if lack of stimulation (brushing), and clogged hair floicals

from not washing everyday like I want to is causing part of the

problem.

Ok Ang, how about this. Are you experiencing menopause? Women

sometimes lose their hair from that.
