Katera has apparently gotten really dehydrated with this illness she had over the weekend. She has been better but not back to normal and she gags on her food, won't finish meals and won't drink except just tiny sips. The dietician says the gagging and refusing to eat and drink is a sign of dehydration. I am pushing fluids (syringing in into her) but they are still thinking that we might have to admit her because they say Keto kids are always teetering on the edge of dehydration anyway and it can be very hard to pull them back when they go over that edge. She has had some blood in her urine (rusty stain in the diaper) and ran a fever again last night..... I KNOW they aren't going to like that when I talk to them this morning. It's down this a.m. but....... they wanted me to get 500ccs of fluid into her in 24 hours and so far I have only gotten about 250 and only have 5 hours left. So ..... keep her in your thoughts that we can stay out of the hospital. It's supposed to be 90 here today which won't help matters. I am still suspicious of a kidney issue.
