I would check with the internship wherethe interns are enrolled. I believe

that ADA/CDR requires that preceptors be RDs. That said, in Maine (I am the

chair of the Board of Licensure of Dietetic Practice here), she would be

eligible for a temporary license (as long as she has the didactic and practice

requirements met) that would allow her to practice pending passing of the exam.

I would check into your state's statute and rules for what is required in your

state.
