Guest guest
Jacy, Excellent idea. I got rid of mine too. You know what else really helped me? I always bought the same BRAND of jeans so I knew that the fit was consistent (you know how one brand a size 12 is a 10 and another it's a 14?) and then I always bought the next size down. I would keep them handy and try them on once a week and eventually, they would FIT! It was SO motivating to see the zipper getting closer and closer and then zipping right up. When I lost 45 last year, every 10 pounds was a new size and made me feel like a new person. No one noticed until I had lost 40 (or at least didn't say anything...maybe it's like not being quite sure if someone is pregnant or not, you just don't want to say until you're SURE) But what really irked me is that they would gush " You look so GOOOOOD **NOW*** " which of course had a built in insult that I looked like !@#$ before. *rolleyes and growl* Never mind those who either don't know this pain or are jealous of our success. Guest guest
I've hear it said alot of times to always get rid of your fat close or big sizes as you loose weight. They say if you keep them your setting your self up to gain it back. I have throuwn out everything above a size 18 and above the levi size 36. Once I'm down in the 13 and 12s or livi 33 and 34...then I'll through out 16 and up and size 36. I'm afraind to get rid of anything within a size or two. I tell you - I whear a loos jogging pnt for 1 day and bang - without that denam to hold me together I expand! LOL Ang > Guess what I did. Guest guest
JO! Your here! That's a good idea. I like the levi because they have the 'middle sizes. 32, 33, 34, 35....I need more than a 2 size jump for motivtion, and I must say, the butt just plain look best in levi :-) It's been 51 pounds now and FINALY a few people are noticing. They ask if I've lost any weight and instead of being happy I want to jump down their throughts with " DUH !!! What was your first clue? " Oh - I'm a bit gruff today I think. Guest guest
Hahaha....I am...no...WAS wearing an old pair of cutoffs a bit ago. Use to look so good (back when I was 18 that is), just show the tiniest peek of that rounded part....now, instead of being tight and stying on top - the jeans kind of push the butt around into not so nice shapes. I don't know if it's the fat/out of shape thing or just age and gravity. hhhmmmm firming creams/cellulite creams - anyone had any luck with those? > Oh the power of JEANS. Guest guest
Your right about that...have to be happy on my own. But you know, and I REALY hate to say / admit it...the gas station owner guy was motivated to start another diet when me and hubby started loosing. So last time I was up there (every few weeks) I told him he looked like he wasi loosing. Well - actually I couldn't tell for sure - he didn't look any smaller, but his closer were a bit looser in some areas. Turns out he has lost 70 pounds! I thought it was because big men sometimes whear the wiast of their pants UNDER the belly. (OOOwww - can you imagine!) I was shocked that someone could loose so much without a major difference. It made me wonder just how huge I was. I avoid cameras BIG TIME - so I have no clue. Guest guest
Hahaha - for 15 years now I have had one old worn out pair of size 30/28 levis sitting on the very top of my stack of jeans. They were pre baby number 1 jeans (loose back then for sports - these jeans are nasty!) Anyway - I keep looking at them and knowing full well they'll probably never fit again, a few times a year I do try them on anyway. Last year they only went up to my knees - LOL. This year they go all they way up to my thieghs! Still a far cry from fitting - but that sure is some progress. I have 3 stack of jeans/pants on my pants shelf. Stack number 1 fits fine, comfortable - they are in range of 35 - 36, and 14 - 16. The middle stack does fit but fits snug...sizes 34 - 35 and 14's. The last stack goes i chronilogical order smallest on botom - the 'goal' pair of the next size down (currently a small 33 mens levi) is on top. Then there is the closet stack......hmmm...has anyone noticed that anything above a certain size - the tags with the size seem to dissapear? Guest guest
Only two people have commented on me losing weight. Both of them are co-workers. I told one that I did, but the other I said no, I am the same fat ole me. She has a big mouth, and I know she would corrupt it all! From my highest weight, I have lost 20 pounds! YAY! Weighed in this morning and down to 222.8. Do I have to round that up to 223? LOL!! That puts me at a 3.2 pound loss from last week. Don't know how I did it, but I sure as heck am not complaining! - > In a message dated 9/8/02 4:21:41 PM Central Daylight Time, > imbackang@y... writes: > > > > It's been 51 pounds now and FINALY a few people are noticing. Guest guest
, Wow, 250 down to 140 in a week! I have to join! (j/k..I knew what you meant) Congrats on the 10 pound loss! Don't you hate it when you weight more than you think you do? My scale was off by 20 pounds! Naive me for thinking I remained the same when my clothes were getting tighter and tighter! HA! My BF just started weight watchers. I think it will be harder on me than it is on him. I have to be good and remember he started this. No more suggesting to go eat out, if I make dinner, I gotta remember to Let him know what was in it so he can count his points, etc. I don't do weight watchers. I try to watch what I eat, and cut down on snacking. Not to mention drinking about a gallon of water a day! Who has time to snack when you spend the day in the bathroom! - > I am so happy for your new fitting jeans lol that is great !!!! i have good news as well, I have finished myfirst week of weight watchers ( winning points system) i have lost 10 lbs !!!! i am in a state of shock,.....starting weight 250 (10 pounds more than i thought i weighed).. weighed in today at 140...I am so happy.....so far, i think the winning points is great, i have never felt hungry, and no cravings.......let me know if anyone else is on weight watchers and let me know what you think > > > thanks > stacy > > >

I frequently notice when guys have shaved mustaches or beards. I'll comment and they'll say I'm the first to notice. I've asked around to figure out if it's just that I'm the only one who says anything-- and NO, most people haven't noticed dramatic changes in facial hair. Heck, I once noticed that a coworker had cut off a foot long beard. I saw him around noon that day. NONE of the other coworkers noticed! Eventually people will notice-- but often people avoid commenting on appearance too much. It can be seen as impolite. Guest guest
the reason i love the WW plan is it gives me structure....and i had to admitt that i needed structure in my eating, becouse I ama binge/emotional eater, I can eat and not even remember what i ate, thinking i have not ate much during the day when in reality i have downed a whole bag of chips.....if i left it up to me, lord knows what i would eat........secondly, I am southern, and yes that does make a difference lol, my grandmother cooked # fab meals a day breakfast lunch and supper, fresh biscuits for every meal , and dessert every night.....i grew up loving food, and it became a drug for me....and i feel I am as addicted to food as a drug addict is to drugs.......i become depressed when i dont eat, and then when i eat my moode is elevated......so this diet plan really helps and it does not hurt either that the food is great, and filling...my brother in law opted for this instead of surgury...he has lost 60 pounds in 2 months..........the old saying is true, no pain no gain, meaning we must accept a bit of uncomfort in the process of weight loss, there is no magic pill and it will no happen overnight, i was the opposite at first and when i finally realized that, i was happy stacy
Guest guest
Hahaha - too funny! I know my husband would go from a full beard and mustach to baby face and I would buzz around asking him if he cut his hair, what did he do? LOL. He would always just grin and wait for me to find the hair in the sink. LOL. I love the way my husband looks just after a shave - it's so exciting - like it takes me back to my old boyfriend.
