She would crumple them and put them in the cabinets. I have heard of using peppermint oil. I have also heard of boric acid mixed with a little jelly, theoretically they take it back to the nest and it kills them all. Tana
Guest guest
What has worked for us is those little ant traps (they come 3 or 4 in a box). It takes a few days until they get the poison back to their nest, but then they're all dead. If you can be patient for a couple of days while you watch the little pests march back and forth to the traps, you won't see them again. Guest guest
Find a organic gardening shop near you or one online and order some nematodes to spray on your lawn. They are microscopic creatures that love to eat ant eggs and will rid your yard and house of ants within a few weeks and keep it free for several years. In the meantime, cloves are pretty good at detering their entry. Gaylen
Guest guest
I think those little ant traps are full of very toxic stuff. Guest guest
The Bay Leaf works great and Cayenne Pepper and even Cinnamon all are smelly to an ant too but the Cedarcide products are as well ( www.cedarcide.com ). We buy ours from a garden center locally or a feed shop and it smells great .... if you like the smell of cedar, that is . I do not work for Cedarcide but I do love their products. Put some into your shrubbery and watch the mosquitos disappear ( they think it is smelly too ). Just remember to reapply it after a heavy rain or after about 3 weeks. We've lived in a fire ant, flea and mosquito free yard and " piss ant " free home for over a year now. Piss ants ( not their scientific name, LOL )are those teensy little ants that come into your home about 3 times a year, first looking for sugar, then grease and then water . They are tough to get rid of without che, micals but the smelly stuff above all works great. Jeannie G.
