She weighs just 2760 grams and is only 44 cms tall. Seems to be healthy > > Congratulations!! Is her name pronounced " my-ah? " It looks beautiful with your last name. Do you live outside the US? Guest guest Posted November 1, 2001 Report Share Posted November 1, 2001 Yes, in Finland. And yes, it is pronounced somewhat like " my-ah " . Although in Finland, when pronouncing, ah-part is quite short and no h is pronounced there. Yesterday we had a first snowstorm of the winter here. So Maija came with that, I guess.. (But, we DO NOT have polar bears here and we DO have quite warm summer (many times the temperature exceeds 90 F), so it is not always snowing... as many probably think when they hear of Finland ) I hope everything goes fine with you all. Some of the newer members of the group may not have heard that my wife did have a significant septum (broad, all the way down) because of what we lost our first pregnancy at 22w3d (baby run out of space). Just some length of the septum was resected, but apparently that was enough to allow Maija to grow in transverse position all the way. Contractions all the way through the pregnancy - up until about 31st week when they stopped entirely. I think that this was the time when the uterus " lifts up " or something (?) It may be so that the space issue didn't allow Maija to grow properly, but we are hoping that she will catch up.
