Guest guest
went to bed last night clutching his " medium soft red theraputty " . Marc put him to bed -- I NEVER allow that. At 2aM, came into my room in a panic -- the putty had melted from his body heat and was stuck to his pj shirt, his sheet, and his pillowcase. I threw them all aside. So now what? Two questions: a) is there any way to get it OFF this stuff? b)if I get it off, is there any way to salvage it????? <sigh> Jacquie
Guest guest
I had some luck with ice. Put the whole thing in the freezer, or put an ice cube on the putty. When the ice cube melts pick/chip it off. The putty will be fine except for the lint, hair etc in it. The cloth will be stained. You could try heat, like from a blow dryer, to try to melt it off. I didn't try that because I don't own a blow dryer. -Sara.
Guest guest
Jacquie, Though it all in the freezer and keep it there for a good 5 hours then scrap it of and let it unthaw. You can re-use it. Has for the clothes and Sheets. Use Whisk it does great for stains. Pour it on the stains and let it set for about 1 hour then wash it out. Guest guest
No, there is no way to save what is melted into the fabric, only the stuff on top that can be scraped off. Yes, you can get it out of fabric. Use something like De-Solv-It or other orange oil based type grease remover/cleaner. Citra Solve is another one. Spray liberally and let sit. Scrub with stiff brush. Spray liberally again and let sit. Scrub again. Wash well in cold water and detergent. Air dry. Repeat until stain is gone. I have gotten this out of pants where the kid sat on it and the theraputty was melted into the welts of the individual threads. Takes a bit of work, but it can be done. I like to freeze it first and chip off with a knive as much as I can before starting. Good luck.
