Guest guest
I go to the local YMCA and take advantage of their pool, interior or exterior, I don't know how it has helped my circulation or heart strength because I didn't have either of then tested before my visits their, I do know that I have started taking oral Chelation and have watched my blood pressure drop down (120/80 now) and my cholesterol drop (185 now), my cardiologist likes my new numbers and tells me to continue... when I first started taking the Chelation I noticed that my urine was cloudy but the manufacturer told me that this was just heart and artery cholesterol being taking out of my body. I spend $49 for 120 capsules and they last me one month if I take them as prescribed, twice in the morning with food and did then twice in the evening with dinner. Many health food stores sell them. Circulation I notice that you say Maca is good for circulation. Is there anything else people have found helps when you are sitting in a wheelchair all winter? I have an electric footwarmer but that is treating the symptom not the cause. Any ideas welcome. Janet
Guest guest
Hi, Has anyone any sure way of beating circulation problems? My feet are always freezing cold and blue, even in the summer. If I could walk it would get things moving but I've had this problem since I've been in a wheelchair. I use an electronic mini walker to exercise them (and remind them what they are supposed to do) and I've tried soaking them in hot water with chilli and massage them daily with body lotion but they are still purple most of the time. Janet ----- Original Message ----- From: Roe I haven't looked into the foot baths although my Chinese doctor tells me to soak my feet in as hot as water as I can stand and massage them 500 strokes. Guest guest
Hi Janet, May I suggest taking vitamin E (mixed tocopherols). It is known as the circulation vitamin, and I take one 400 IU capsule twice a day. You may also wish to consider an appliance recommended by Edgar Cayce. Guest guest
Thanks Dudley. That's good to know as I just started Vitamin E last week so maybe I'll get through this summer with normal coloured feet! Guest guest
Hi Janet, I use to have the same problem until I found Gingko Biloba cures the problem for me. I take 120mg twice a day,. It can take three months to start feeling the benefits, it has also helped improve my memory. . Has anyone any sure way of beating circulation problems? Guest guest
I've been taking Gingko Biloba but have just checked the amounts. I used to take it in its own right but gave up as it didn't do anything. Now I just have what is in my multi-mineral and it is only 20mg a day. The BBD recommends 120mg and it sounds like twice that is ok. I'll order some more today and give it time. Thanks. Guest guest
Thanks , A friend with hypothyroidism suggested I should get tested too. I think a lot of us MSers suffer from that. I'm taking mega seaweed tablets at the moment for chelation and I noticed that my feet weren't quite as bad. I've never had hair loss but with you mentioning the last part of your eyebrows - mine's the same. Also I love the taste of seaweed and I sometimes think if the body craves something, it is because it needs it. (I know that the reverse is true too - craving = allergy, but this is not the case here.) I took kelp tablets for a while, thinking I was deficient in iodine but they didn't do anything. Do you know what test you ask for? Janet Re: Re: circulation Hi Janet, have you had your thyroid checked? I had this problem of cold feet (sometimes still do) until I started eating more seaweed and taking Modifilan for mercury detox. The seaweed product contains iodine and I feel that because I don't have as many hypothyroid-like symptoms as I did (cold feet, hair loss, last part of my eybrows wouldn't grow...) that I had an iodine deficiency. Inflammation of the thyroid also causes the thyroid to not produce TSH needed for hormone production. The lack of hormones may have something to do with your cold sensitivity. It did mine. I thought that circulation was the problem, but according to my recent blood tests, that isn't it. I had sufficient oxygen in my blood and it wasn't thick as I had previously thought it was. My TSH level is normal again and I don't have inflammation according to the SED/ C-reactive protein test. My feet are not cold as often as they were unless I skip the seaweed! Guest guest
Hi Janet, I had my T3, T4 and TSH checked. I was tested long after I was taking Modifilan and eating seaweed and the results were good. My eyebrows have grown back and my hair isn't falling out like it did. The T3, triiodothyronine, is a thyroid hormone. I had it checked because the lack of T3 causes your body to crave dopamine and too much dopamine creates a waste product, dopachrome. Dopachrome inhibits myelin repair. This is a very simplified explanation, but this concerned me because I was worried that my immobility might be due to myelin damage that my not be able to repair. Have a c-reactive protein test to see if you have internal inflammation. I was also concerned about this because I frequently had edema. I wasn't moving much either and I needed to get my lymph flowing. I had an ABG (arterial blood gas) test done to see if I had enough oxygen in my blood and if it was alkaline or acidic. I was alkaline and I had plenty of oxygen in my blood. That is a painful test, but I needed to know the results. I love chocolate and sometimes crave it. Does that mean I have a chocolate deficiency? Guest guest
With or without the gin? No, seriously, I can't find tonic water without corn (HFCS = high fructose corn syrup) to which I'm allergic. Quinine helps cramp too which must be connected. Janet Re: Re: circulation Drinking a glass of tonic water a day helped me.Dave
Guest guest
Thanks . Once I've worked out how to ask for those tests in Spanish, I'll get them done. You might joke about having a chocolate deficiency but chocolate stimulates dopamine. Maybe all us chocoholics are really people with thyroid problems; a good excuse anyway. Guest guest
If It hasn't already been suggested, it may be Raynaud's that is causing your circulation problems. It is quite a common condition. Guest guest
Cacao CONTAINS dopamine. I'm going to have to look further into this! I know that cacao/chocolate is a neurotoxin, this might explain why. I always thought it was the theobromine that was toxic. It might be that cacao contains many toxins. Wolfe says it is a superfood. It does have some antioxidant qualities and it makes me feel super! Janet Orchard wrote: Thanks . Once I've worked out how to ask for those tests in Spanish, I'll get them done. Guest guest
Hi Janet. I use : 1) Coarse (the type you would use to clean the bathroom ) every night before bed WITH the concoction of olive oil and cayenne pepper (easy on paper first, you might burn your skin). That's just for the feet. 2)For the overall circulation I take Vit B3 (Niacin), not a " no flush " or " time release " formula, just the regular one. I want the flush, where the blood rushes to the skin. See here for details http://www.tldp.com/issue/11_00/klenner.htm
