Mr. XXXXX is a 58-year-old man with a long-standing history of smoking who was

admitted to the hospital on 09/25/2000 with a diagnosis of left-sided pneumonia

with evidence of _______(s/l bullitis) on x-ray which was subsequently confirmed

by CT scan. He was treated in the hospital with IV antibiotics (clindamycin)

which he responded to as evidenced by diminution in his symptoms at presentation

which included left pleuritic chest pain, productive cough of brownish sputum,

high fevers, and leukocytosis (??? it actually sounds like 'leuko-citis')

I thought maybe he meant pleuritis, but he says this three times throughout the

report and I cannot document..........

HELP!

Becky
