Guest guest
Another quick note to announce more additions to the website Finally got the " TOOLS " up online - we have a BMI calculator, calorie calculator, Kcal Calculator, running calculator, fitwise calculator, a FUN body calculator (this is just for fun - it's not serious at all) and a special link to a GREAT ideal weight calculator that calculates a realistic weight instead of a twiggy weight!! Enjoy!! Melody
Guest guest
Well, I'm "obese" for my height, according to the BMI calculator....I used to be "extremely obese". I played around with this for awhile.... When I get down to 199, I'll be "prone to health risks", and when I get down to 173, I'll be "desirable"!! Yep, that's what I'm shooting for--DESIRABLE!!! The "Realistic Ideal Weight Calculator" says that my peoples choice ideal weight is 173, which I totally agree with!! I weighed 172 for YEARS. My doctor's goal weight for me is 165...I had to talk her into raising it from the 160 lbs that she wanted to write down on that goal slip! Thanks for adding these fun tools to the website, Melody! Here's the link if y'all don't have it saved to your 'favorites'.... http://www.texastops.org/ (((hugs))) Janet TOPS # TX 429, Copperas Cove 278.75 starting wt / 229.50 current wt / 49.25 lbs lost / 64.50 to goal Every day you spend drifting away from your goals is a waste not onlyof that day, but also of the additional day it takes to regain lostground. -Ralph Marston 38 more "weigh ins" for 2004
Guest guest
GREAT! I would rather use the realistic weight goal than the one some doctors think you need to weight. Had one that put me at a goal that I weighed when I was in 5th grade. What I weighed from 7th grade through almost all of High School was about the same and even though in High School I was told I "looked" like I weighed alot less (made me feel good since I was a teenager and teens faced alot of scrutiny from fellow classmates). That to me was more realistic and that was the goal weight I WAS aiming for. Now age has moved that goal up a bit so I am going to check out the calculator to see where I realistically should consider being. Thanks for the work Melody.
