Jo and Russ will be there Thursday Day time.... volunteered to watch the boys for Russ on Saturday so he can visit...and hopefully I will come home late Saturday or Sunday the latest! Guest guest Posted January 21, 2000 Report Share Posted January 21, 2000 Hi , I am having my hernia fixed! And hopefully a tummy tuck! Did my pre-admittion over the phone just now. Dont know if you remember or not...but after my surgery in June, I had a large wound infection that required a drain pump to be attached to me for a month. The tissues in my belly (resulting from the infection) were weak and caused the hernia. I look like I am about 8 months pregnant. I have been saying 6 months....but when Russ took the pictures for the approval...I looked at it...and compared to where my ribs and back are....DEFINATELY 8 MONTHS! Anyhow...thats why! The doc told me the other night at the meeting that he is cutting me hip to hip anyway.....and then he smiled...So who knows...if they dont approve it....hopefully he will just give it an extra tug when he closes me up! I know you thought at the time it would not be covered by ins .. I hope you get it! I did not mind being " stripped " of my duties as co-moderator but it would have been nice to be told. I found out by myself .. with no warning or thank you or anything to me that is rude .. She has her reasons so I won't say anything negative about that but the way in which I was treated was rude. I will be there the day of surgery and let you all know as soon as she is out of surgery. And welcome to all the new members this is great.
