YIPPPPEEEEE!!! I was so excited to hear that you will probably be attending SRD!!! I was sooooo bummed last week when you said that you might not be able to go because of your new job. We're going to have so much fun.

I can't believe its almost noon and I'm still in my jammies. I'm recovering from yesterday. I babysat a 3 year old yesterday, who lives with her grandma. Grandma has MS so doesn't get out much. The child was a terror! First of all, she is huge for a 3 year old. Grandma told me that all the little girl wants to do all day is eat, and she has behavioral problems. She asked for food ALL DAY LONG. I tried to distract her by keeping her busy... she fed all the animals on my farm, then we went to the library for Dr. Suess's birthday party and storytime, played at the park, and then played on the playground at McD's. She totally disrupted storytime and let me tell you, when this little girl doesn't want to move...there's no moving her. I could not physically lift her. She had to climb a step stool to get into my truck. At the library, all the mommies sat in chairs in a circle, with their little darling children sitting on carpet squares right in front of them. wanted to stand right in front of the story teller and the person in the cat in the hat costume, picking her nose. And like I said...impossible to move. She let out a blood curdling scream when I tried to direct her to the carpet. Eventually, they incorporated her into storytime...she got to be a "Zak" in the Sneeches story. When the group sang "This Old Man", she stood in the middle screaming at everybody at the top of her lungs..."YOU ALL ARE SINGING IT WRONG! THAT'S NOT HOW IT GOES!" If I could've fit under the chair, I would've been there! There were several other incidents before we finally left. Now, I taught Pre-K for a couple of years, I used to have 20 kids in my class, and I've never had such a hard time controlling a child. You know though, before she even started acting up, people were looking at me like I was some horrible person...most likely because of 's weight and because they thought that I was her mom. It was kind of sad though, because I don't think she's ever been to a park. Finally got her to go down the slide a couple of times. I was exhausted from reasoning with her all day, never raising my voice. I guess she had a good time, because when her grandma came to pick her up, she refused to go home. I couldn't put that child's shoes on her feet fast enough! Nothing got done yesterday....bed wasn't made, dishes weren't done, laundry wasn't washed, and no dinner for my family. left at 4 p.m., (after arriving at 8 a.m.), and I put on my sweats and "neakies" and drove into town to walk with my walking buddies. I felt good realizing that what I needed was a walk in the fresh air, instead of heading to the refrigerator.

Well, I'm going to post a new daily question before getting into the shower. I'll make it another easy one today that doesn't require deep thought.

(((HUGS))) to all....Janet
