Guest guest
Now, ask any one person about how it feels to be on a losing streak, and they'll think of sports. Ask one of us in TOPS and we'll tell you that we LOVE losing streaks!!! Glad to see that you've had a loss for the 3rd week in a row. You're doing it, !!! Hey, what's the deal-eo with the cokes and iced tea? Do you not like Diet soft drinks? Keep in mind that sugary, sweet and caffienated drinks set off hunger cues. Sounds like you've made a change in drinking less cokes though. Good for you... calorie-wise and financially. --That spare change for sodas adds up. If my family goes out to eat at a restaurant like Applebees or Olive Garden, the soft drinks are like $1.99. I guess they take into account the free refills...so, they aren't really free are they?! So, for a family of 4, if we just get water, we save like 8 bucks... that's the price of a dinner entree! Now, if we're going out for Mexican food, I've gotta have my diet coke. There are sometimes when I refuse to cut back. :>) Good luck with your goal this week to get walking. Okay, I'd forgotten that you mentioned something about a controversial program last week. If you still have it saved, will you please send it to me? Muchas Gracias. Hand in hand, together we can. Janet 278.75 starting wt / 239.75 current wt / 39 lbs lost / 74.75 to goal Finish each day and be done with it. Tomorrow is a new day; begin it well. ----- Original Message ----- From: Jr I lost 3/4 lb. this week. That's 3 weeks in a row. Slowly but surely I'll get back to goal. No exercise this week....again. Not enough water but less cokes and more iced tea. Iced tea isn't great for you but it's much better than cokes I believe. My goals this week are to try and walk 15 minutes a day (1 mile walking tape) and head to my friends apartment once or twice a week to work out. He lives 45 minutes away so that might not happen (gas money don't you know) but I will try. And for all of you who asked about our program last week....my item is still staring me in the face and it has NOT been touched. CONTROL BABY! Guest guest
Hey Janet! I will go and find that program and send it to you. I don't think everyone in TOPS would agree with it (that's why I didn't share it with everyone) but we all thing it's a great idea and I'm still doing great at it and it's staring me in the face right now! And, yes, I love my losing streak even if it is small. ANY loss is a good loss and I have always had that motto and I always will. I drink ONLY diet drinks. I hate regular drinks and when I'm forced to drink them I regret it because they always leave a bad taste in my mouth. I'm addicted to Diet Dr Pepper and I've tried to drink more tea and water (more tea though.....bad ) and it's not the best choice but it's better. Like today I have only had 1 DDP since I been home but I have drank a lot of tea and water and punch today. Could be worse! And I totally agree with you on the coke/tea thing at restaurants. I always want to get water and save that 2.00 but I just can't eat dinner without an iced tea. I can have water with dinner but I want tea. I just can't eat dinner with a Diet Drink. I don't know why. Have a great weekend everyone! Guest guest
I lost 1.75 lbs. this week. I walked 6 miles in three days this week. I drank 64 oz. of water each day this week. I'm did pretty good this week. I hope I can keep it up next week. But I will be excused next week. I will be at SRD next week. Sorry.....it just kept happening! Well...I am very happy to be back walking. I hope I can keep it up. I've been walking on talking on my cell phone and that has really been helping. I guess if you can't walk with them....make them talk to you on the phone! LOL! I do it after 9 p.m. so it's free minutes! I am going to try and walk 4 days out of the week and MAYBE go to my friend 's apartment to use his gym. He lives 45 minutes away or I would do that EVERY night. Only 8 work hours left until I'm on a 9 day vacation! I can't wait. I'm going to be counting it down all day tomorrow. I haven't had a vacation since October of 2002 so I can't wait! We are leaving for SRD at 9 a.m. on Wednesday so it's REALLY going to be a vacation!I hope you all have great weekend. Talk to you tomorrow!
