Guest guest
Sorry, Sue, I forgot to mention that we do some dairy (goat yogurt and a couple cheeses). He hasn't loved the pumpkin pie filling (though I do!), but I'll take another look at that custard recipe. Thanks! Guest guest
Hi , I can't remember if you guys do dairy? If you do, I think there's a custard recipe in BTVC -- might pass for pudding. Or how about Jody's dairy free pumpkin pie filling recipe -- a bit like pudding. We make the pumpkin pie recipe from BTVC (but using my mother's spices, which makes me happy) and it is very much like pudding. Guest guest
I would bake some SCD cheesecake in muffin tins and add legal flavors or pureed fruit of your choice. Guest guest
If Max can (will) eat prunes, here is a favorite at our house: Thoroughly cook a box of pitted prunes, adding lots and lots of water. Puree the mixture while still warm, adding more water as you go. I try to use as much water as possible to avoid a yeast attack and make my dollar stretch further. We like it warm or cold. One day we stirred in a dap of nut butter and my son said it tasted kinda like chocolate pudding! Hope it works for Max! > Max's teachers tell me he's been eyeing his classmate's pudding at lunchtime > and they wonder if there is any that I can make that is SCD legal for him. > I've looked at the Orange Pudding and Green Pudding recipes and I don't think > they would travel well and, honestly, I don't know that Max would go for it.
