Find out what the other kids are having. She may want to be similar

to them.

Also depends what your child can eat at this point in her diet.

You can make heart shaped cookies with one of the cut out cookie

recipes on pecanbread, or probably could cut the peanut butter

brownies into hearts.

If you want decorations, use the honey frosting in BTVC, then you

can sprinkle with ground dried strawberry, or cinnamon if your child

isn't ready for dried fruit.

Supply watered down legal juice or cider.

You know those very popular conversation heart candies?

JoAnn etc craft/fabric shop here has a version that is made of that

foamy stuff, and is adhesive backed (like stickers).

Meringue cookies are very good, if you are careful they can be made

neatly like little kisses just by nature of the way you plop them

onto the cookie sheet.

For " candy " , make the peanut butter caramels and put in little

valentine decorated mini-muffin cups.

Make marshmallows and tint the " batter " pink with cranberry juice

(home-juiced) or red food color.

Dried fruits like strawberries of blueberries if your child is up to

them.

Muffins in valentine decorated muffin cups. Or cupcakes, similarly.

Honey lollipops which I think are in BTVC (if not there, then they

are on Scdrecipe.com)

Homemade gelatin with watered down purple grape juice, cut into

heart shapes with cookie cutters.

Stickers, pencils, other non-food stuff (this is easier for girls,

I'm finding, in terms of 'valentine-y' stuff).

I've been cooking fresh or frozen strawberries and then pureeing them through

a fine sieve. The syrup that results could be used to color and flavor heart

cookies. I use it to flavor frozen yogurt. The color is wonderful.
