Guest guest Posted July 20, 2001 Report Share Posted July 20, 2001 : Sent that last e-mail off before I wrote about ovaries -- Forgot to say, that when I had my hyst, I kept my ovaries. With women under 45, they typically try to keep them. Over45, my md said it was my choice. However, he said that if he found that they did not look healthy, or if the uterus looked to be compromised (cancer) that they would be removed (as you would want them to be!) -- otherwise he said I could keep them. He completely respected my decision in this area.
