Guest guest
" I should note that my daughter's ATEC was right around 58-60 pre-diet, and after 10 days on the SCD (including a gluten infraction in the middle of it which caused us to go back to the intro diet this past weekend), her score is in the mid-30s or thereabouts today " Wow JC. That's amazing! I did track my son's ATEC from Age 2.8 (before we started anything). The last time I did his was over 2 years ago. His score went from 90 to 4. I loved watching the numbers drop. Guest guest
Hi J.C. Pre SCD ATEC score: 62 ATEC score today (10 1/2 months): 17 She's been on a roll lately, so I'm feeling very positive, so that may have skewed things a bit. I usually get her dad to do it separately from me and then we average it, but he's sleeping! Sue (From Pickering) Mom to , 4, formerly? Her ATEC dropped like a rock when we implemented GFCF (31 is her low, with 22 points of that being her lack of speech). But then she started reacting to other starches, such as rice, and the ATEC started creeping back up. When we first implemented SCD about two weeks ago (the first day or so, right before die-off started), the score was back down to around 31 -- but then we had die-off and then a gluten infraction and then a bad reaction to three dates (illegal ones) she ate by mistake, so we've been hovering in the mid-to-high 30s this week (do I sound obsessive about tracking this? ;-) ). I'm truly hoping to keep her diet entirely legal now, so we can see true results -- and I really, really believe in this diet. It just makes sense to me. J.C. Guest guest
J.C. It's still amazing considering all the people in the world who say that " diet makes no difference " . When you began to remove foods she couldn't handle she began to get better. When she began eating things she couldn't handle (the starches), she got worse. You removed them and she got better again. There's no better proof that diet CAN make a difference. Jody mom to -5.1 and -7.5 SCD 1 year
