Guest guest
My son also hates pureed textures and would not eat applesauce or the yogurt. However, for some reason he loves the jello (Knox blocks) texture. I have put yogurt in the jello (when the jello is cooled to warm, but not set), and you also could put some pureed fruit in it. Guest guest
Unfortunately, my son gets really wacky with gelatin, he chomps it down, bugs me for more until it is all gone, and bounces off the walls. I save it for a REALLY special treat, the last time he had it was Christmas, then only one serving. Anyone else have this problem? We use the Knox gelatin and legal Welches grape juice. That is a good idea about adding the yogurt when it has cooled down some, maybe we will try that after he has healed some more, if I can get him to tolerate it. Guest guest
Alice, It is highly possible that your son is reacting to the grape juice rather than the gelatin. Grapes are highly phenolic, and my son still cannot tolerate them. Maybe try a different juice and see if that makes a difference. Guest guest
Great idea!! Have been thinking about the jello, but haven't started to check into what kind is ok. I will get right on that!! I'll keep my fingers crossed. Thank you so much!! Wyatt, 3, ASD, SCD since 11.04 , 1 1/2, NT > My son also hates pureed textures and would not eat applesauce or the yogurt.
