Hi Carol,

Technically sodium phosphate is just a salt so I doubt it's illegal. Of course

that doesn't mean you personally can tolerate it. I rinse the tuna a few times

with water to clear out the salts - I find them much too salty. maybe this will

help.

Is it the Flaked Albacore tuna? That one says sodium acid pyrophosphate. If

that's the one that could be causing your grief. My cans of tuna just have

skipjack tuna, water and salt.

Sodium phosphate is added to Clover Leaf flaked water packed tuna in Canada.

is it legal? I hurt after having it.
