Guest guest
Well, now I'm really going to lose my composure. I went to the doctor 2 months ago about pain in my legs. He was in a hurry and said " I'm not going to discuss that with you today. " I said " Okay, then just listen. " I really love the guy, and yes he did listen, and of course the diagnosis was DM2, and now peripheral neuropathy. I'm trying elavil 25mg @ bedtime. I was on this stuff 7 years ago for headaches and abdominal pain (IBS), and it helped. I took 100mg @ bedtime, but felt too tired. I'm happy to be trying the lower dose. I'm not allowed to share personal information with the patients (inmates) that I care for, but I am a lot more confident when I speak to them, and they're human beings, I'm sure they'll figure it out (and more power to them if they do). I guess what gripes me is everything hitting at once. 1998 - 1999: Severe testicular pain, 3 surgeries to correct it, and it's still here. 1999: Gallbladder (good riddance useless thing) 2000: Arthritis, questionable fibromyalgia (which is much improved, so...?) 2001 Sleep apnea, diabetes, deviated septum repair, peripharal neuropathy. I'm smiling while I write this, because I want to vent and I don't want my family to hear me. I usually don't complain, and it's kind of fun. Now the good stuff... It's 2001, there's Splenda, Pepsi One, WOW chips, and grilled chicken. God loves me, and I still trust him. My family is great. I have a career I love. I can talk to you guys! God bless you all, have a great Christmas! prison_rn@...
