Guest guest
--- Hi Carolyn, I can't speaak to true Kidney issues but I can tell you that several moths ago 4.10 at the time pddnos was hospitalized because his bun was elevated, however his creatinine was low normal. When this happened again his pediatrician got in touch with a nephro colleage at Childrens who said as long as the creattinine is low its probably just a result of a high protein intake and not to worry unless he had urinary symptoms and a bun approaching 200. So like I said, your situation may be completely different just thought I would share our experience. Interesting note is that although his protein intake is 3xRDA and his bun reflects increased protein his urine metabolic tests (Tufts) indicate a low protein intake. HMMMMM. Guest guest
hmmm that is interesting. I will check the BUN and Creatinine out at my next appt. thank you for the insight Carolyn Re: ot: advanced topic on kidneys and scd --- Hi Carolyn, I can't speaak to true Kidney issues but I can tell you that several moths ago 4.10 at the time pddnos was hospitalized because his bun was elevated, however his creatinine was low normal. Guest guest
Hi : The kidney problem originated from a strep infection Streptococcal Glomerulonephritis while pregnant with my oldest AS child. I however do not doubt that the amalgam fillings may be exacerbating the situation. So I will check into that. Thanks for the input. Guest guest
its very hard to get the effect of mercury toxicity because its so subtle and systemic. but recently on yahoo autism-mercury a woman breast feeding child had her milk tested for mercuy five amalgams and the milk was ten times over safe/normal(?!) levels. a hair test would indicate the level of heavy metala induced minerals tranport disorder. remvoing amalgams without taking more mercury dump form the removal proess requires undertsanding and research. new laser dental equipment seems the best option. also mineral supplementation is needed esp seleniums http://members.tripod.com/mueller_ranges/links/compendium/myminerals.h tml > > I need to talk to someone who knows about SCD and kidney issues. > > Several years ago I was diagnosed with a kidney disease called IGA > > Nephropathy.
