Guest guest
And that explains the adrenal fatigue, righ there! LOL I managed to sleep early, but my husband refused until I put him on the prednisone. Then he started sleeping all the time the first month - a sign his body really was sleep deprived. Guest guest
Carole Way way back in late '86 to very early '87, I had also been experiencing the very heavy unending periods that would stop for a few days, then start right back up. Go frwd to mid '87, when I finally had the hysterectomy for this and the fibroid tumors (not knowing I also had thyroid disease started a little before that probably causing ALL these things). Okay, now go back to the heavy periods. At the same time, I was also in a very nervous state, couldn't sit down, was endlessly doing some sort of work at home, couldn't think straight, with racing thoughts, and that horrible free floating anxiety, like something was trying to " get me " . I now know that I was in the throws of early Hashi's, HYPERthyroid to start. So there really is a paradox there, because everyone says that the heavy periods represent HYPO, yet I'm thinking that autoantibodies or something related there caused the fibroids and other symptoms going on. I had only read a little about autoantibodies at that time and I know I was hyper because I had lost down to around 113 lbs or so, but was ravenously eating, once I could get out of bed, that is. My pounding heart and anxiety would literally wake me up and make me jump out of the bed and immediately start mobilizing. I was in a " grayed out " state, when it came to depression or whatever you want to call it, yet couldn't sit still, got VERY skinny. This is when I started running around a track about 5 miles a day. Seven yrs later and 200 tranquilizer brands and antidepressants later, I crashed and became hypo almost in one day, with shakes, tremors, and you name it, calling my doctor up, yelling " Something ELSE is wrong with me, and you've got to do something!! " So, even though I was having the terribly heavy periods way back there, I WAS in a hyper state. Yrs later came the hypo crash. I know they say that the scant periods go with hyper, but it's not what I experienced. I wish I'd had these groups then because maybe I wouldn't have thought that I was going totally insane. Guest guest
And, , I'm a night worker. Then I'm up on my nights off, except for rarely. Don't have the energy to do days on a nursing floor (not that people aren't awake all night long in a nursing home, but it IS less stressful than a day shift). Looks like mine may NEVER be repaired, if they're only repaired between 11 pm and 1 am! Guest guest
Well, I think it explains why we started staying up at night, way back there, anyway, lol!
