Guest guest
Hi EveryOne, This is part of a post from another list which I have permission to share. To me, it is a very important reminder. Peace, Love and Harmony, Bev Thyroid-Adrenal Connection: Information and Resources http://www.bestweb.net/~om/thyroid >>>snip Many people think that when they get swollen ankles and hands it's from too much water, but not so, it's the opposite, (barring certain medical conditions), Actually it's from too little water. When the body is denied the water it needs, it reacts in self defense and starts to hold back on all water output, and starts storing this water, hence the swelling. The more it is denied, the more it holds back it starts pulling water from all body systems and functions. leading to constipation, dry skin, lower metabolism, brain function etc....right up to death. But, being the beautiful creation that it is, as soon as the body starts to get the water it needs, it learns that it's okay to let go and not store it. That is why when people start to increase their water intake, they have to make more bathroom trips. They think it's the water going right through them but actually it's the body saying .. " okay, now I can let go of this old water I have been storing.
