I have had bouts with this problem for years. It comes on worse in hot

weather.

As someone in this group recommended, keep yourself well hydrated.

Adequate water consumption is important to be able to flush the excess

salt that may be in your body. Watch your salt intake, prepared foods,

mixes are loaded with it.

Try not to sit in one place too long, movement is important. I have

been taking a daily diuretic (hydrochlorothiazide) prescribed by my dr.

for several years now, which helps, too.

High potassium foods are helpful--cantaloupes, bananas.

I have congestive heart failure--I am very overweight, my heart can't

keep up, fluid tends to settle in my lower legs and feet, some days are

good and some not.

Good luck,

Doreen

I'll be seeing my dr. or nurse practitioner next week and try to get a

copy of my labs which I had done last Tuesday. Thanks for writing back

to me, it's appreciated!

:)

Doreen,

I have read that CoEnzyme Q10 is helpful for congestive heart failure. My friend had his son taking it and it helped him alot. You might want to research it some.

Sorry about this comment being so late, I'm way behind again on email...
