O'Quinn's firm reached an agreement not to take on any new implant cases in return for settling the ones on the books. At one time, they said they would take on cases for the kids . . . But they didn't. At least he completed his cases, rather than leave his clients high and dry.

He's a very smart, very aggressive attorney . . . One of the "Attorneys from Hell" . . . featured in a big business magazine. Maybe Money Magazine?

The lawyers here in Canada should take lessons from these powerful men. It was a County judge who said that his jurisdiction could not be a courthouse for the world. I have so much respect for this firm, because they did all the right things. Tom Pirtle was not part of this firm when we contacted him, but he knows that this firm will take him down the road to success. My wish is that they would help the women who need them NOW...a mystery to me. The O'Quinn firm did get the research, and they probably have more on the manufacturers than any other firm in the world. They went into dumpsters to get the dirt that they needed!!! They still might get involved if we were to ask them. Hmmmm?

Lea, I would just really hope and pray that somebody will put a stop to this nonsense! It seems that O'Quinn had all of the ammunition they needed...why it stopped when he got out of the lawsuits seems criminal....all of that evidence should have become public knowledge to protect women everywhere.

Is that the evidence that the stupid judge said was buried into the privacy of the settlements? That judge is the one who should be charged with public health negligence!

I agree that the abuse of women should stop; however, this will continue until someone steps up to help us. Our voices are being heard though, and if we continue to speak out eventually they will have to listen.

The documents were made public, and I think that we have most all of them. The problem is that most lawyers do not want to get involved because it is so costly to litigate just one case. The way that O'Quinn litigated was great. I heard that he would do just a few cases every week. If I remember correctly, he treated each woman as he would any client, one on one, and he had all of the ammunition that he needed to win. It was like a class action, in that he had thousands of women who were still being represented by their own lawyers. This made it easier for him because the women's lawyers did all of the documentation on each client.

We need to find another rich firm to do what he did.

In my case, when I asked for the return of my medical records, it was apparent that they had not kept my medical records up to date at all. Only my initial health problems were considered.

Rogene, some women here thought that this firm was not good. Many women received their settlements while they still had their implants. Some just had to go to their lawyers' offices to sign for their cheques.

Something happened with this firm...but we will never know. I am glad that this part of my life is over; however, no woman should ever mediate.

Yes, we do....but I think we need more science that has been done right, not messed up and bought for.

I had my husband watch that video, and he says that he thought Stossel "won that round." That just makes me mad. I thought O'Quinn did a fairly good job. He sounds like he cares for the little guy who is being trampled by the corporation. I just don't understand how he could stop doing what he was doing if he was winning every case????
