Guest guest
Hello, my name is . I am 20 years old and until a day or 2 ago I believed I had a very good immune system. New Years Eve I came down with a respiratory infection, nothing bad, just coughing heavily with mucus. Yesterday I noticed blood in my urine and it scared me to death. I investigated hematuria further and discovered respiratory illness sometimes leads to Igan. Later on yesterday I discovered the blood was darker (coke colored), and was only strongly visible during the beginning of urination. Anyways, I was wondering do these symptoms nessicarily mean I probably have Igan, or is it possible that this could be an injury to a blood vessle(s) in the urinary tract due to extreamly hard, forceful coughing? I usually contract a respiratory illness of some kind 1-2 times a year and never had this problem before. Also, if this IS in fact a case of Igan, is it possible this could be a one time only occurance?
