Guest guest
, yes, I ran across that test somewhere else, looking at something else. Anyway, I'm not familiar with it on my lab tests, so I really don't know what that is. As far as your ferritin, it looks like your doctor does not like the ranges that that particular lab uses. I know that the lab I use has a much higher low end of normal for the rock bottom normal, I'm thinking around 30 or so? Anyway, mine is a 63, in the same type of mathematics, so you can kind of get an idea from that. He's right, my opinion, and is adjusting it by his own opinion of what is normal for that, I bet. Does that MPV have something to do with your white blood cells? How do you feel with your T3 readings? Or do you feel like it needs to come up. All these people are saying that they seem to feel best when the Free T3 is at the very upper range of " normal " or even over the top. What do you think about it? my lab results came in > Hey All, > > I received the iron test and free t3 test results today, and I am a little > confused. Guest guest
, I think you should be a doctor. ;-) I think your right. I think I'm doing better taking 3 iron tablets a day. As far as the t3, I think it could be a little higher. I don't know how to go about that though. I have no idea what the MPV has to do with. Thanks for sharing your opinion. I think it is right on as usual. > >Reply-To: The_Thyroid_Support_Group >To: <The_Thyroid_Support_Group > >Subject: Re: my lab results came in---JULIE >Date: Fri, 28 May 2004 02:43:43 -0500 > >, yes, I ran across that test somewhere else, looking at something >else. If you take to much will it build up in your system and hurt you?? I have meant to discuss this with my Dr. but forgot and don't go back for 2 more months. *sigh* Thanks. Guest guest
, The MPV is the Mean Platelet Volume -- a measure of the volume of a large number of platelets. It's for judging the sizes of the platelets, not the total platelets as you'd get in the lab test for Platelet Count. Janet > , > > I think you should be a doctor. ;-) I think your right. Guest guest
, According to my book, Bernard-Soulier syndrome, May-Hegglin anomaly, valvular heart disease or myeloproliferative disorder. Valvular heart disease speaks for itself but you'll have to google the other three things. Have never heard of the syndrome and anomaly listed above. These are the only things listed in my lab book. Does this help at all? Janet > Thanks! So what would it mean if your MPV is high? > > > > > >From: " whitecap89 " <ggmts@c...> > >Reply-To: The_Thyroid_Support_Group > >To: The_Thyroid_Support_Group > >Subject: Re: my lab results came in---JULIE > >Date: Sat, 29 May 2004 18:39:26 -0000 > > > >, > >The MPV is the Mean Platelet Volume -- a measure of the volume of a large > >number > >of platelets.
