Guest guest
Thanks Darryl and Terry, for your kind words. I'm writing from the UK where it has just turned midnight 25 mins ago - a happy 2007 to you all. It is true that occaisionally some decisions have to be made but generally you folks operate very well in a good humour. This is all I want and to be able to support you all when times are a bit rough. Having been diagnosed for 10 years I've seen some ups and downs in the PCa community. Hence I can empathise with many of the situations we get into. I hope I can be supportive for very much longer. Guest guest
Now I've woken up I realised I hadn't publicly thanked Darryl and Terry plus people like Kathy and many other informed people who continue to help us. Without them this group wouldn't be what it is. I also see it as a signpost to other sources groups or websites. On some groups you can't mention "the opposition" - this group says stay with us and help others but also find the best specialist group for your needs. If you come across a good one let us know. One thing that has struck me about this last week or so is how many people have joined us. Some just diagnosed before the holidays. Thanks for joining us and I hope you get something of benefit from the group. Again best wishes and hope that 2007 is as good as it can be for you all. Guest guest
I am new to this group but would like to concur Deepest gratitude for creating, running, and moderating this list. Yahoo Groups are a wonderful support system. I was part of one for well over a year while going through a nasty divorce. I would have never kept my sanity in check if I didn't have that group available to me on a 24/7 basis. Same as this group. I have learned so much about my fathers diagnosis. First hand stories, knowledge is much better than surfing through medical pages full of terminology that is like a second language (not easily understood)......so with that said, thank you all who contribute and share and make this group what it is! Happy New Year Bethanndarrylmit@... wrote: I wanted to re-emphasis a special feeling of gratitudeto Metcalf, who started Prostate Cancer Support,by himself and continues to support all of us with hisinsight and encouragement.
