Guest guest
Hey , I remember when you joined the group and were having unexplained symptoms(falling over, no balance, etc). If I remember correctly, you didn't get the best medical treatment at first (?) and then they found the brain tumor. I'm so glad the tumor is gone. Whoo-hoo! Sometimes it helps me if I joke around and not take my pain so seriously. I know it has thrown people off at times but I don't want to bring everyone " down " . Then there are other times when I am desperate just to let it all out and vent or cry. So everyone deals with these things differently. I'm glad your positive attitude is helping you through all this. Keep it up, you should be very proud! You mentioned therapy/counseling might have shown you negative things you would not have thought of or had to dealt with. Well, I think its good to work through those feeling ASAP. I waited until early 30's to seek counseling when I should have been going from 18 on. We have to see those family patterns and how they have affected us so we can break them, not do the same, and figure out how we want our lives to be or not be! It sounds like you have turned the negatives into something more positive in your adult life. You are a very strong person and should give yourself a big pat on the back! Again, I'm so glad the tumor is gone and hopefully this will all be over for you soon. Take care, Caitlin MGranadaHome wrote:The tumor (medullaoblastoma, ok it might be spelled wrong but it normally is a 10 year old childs tumor, had to laugh and tell my husband, see I am a 10 year old in a 40 year olds body, LOL. He is always telling me to grow up) didn't even show up on the Aug 07's MRI (we did that one at 3 months of treatment I had so it had disappeared by then and this last one about 12 weeks ago didn't show anything either so that is good news.
