Guest guest
I agree with Lynda, I had double bilumen, saline filled inside silicone shell. I was amnd still am very sick. The chemicals that are sued to make the implants are known carcinognes, neurotoxins, 37 different toxic chemicals that were designed to be a pesticide!! They make you sick period. Just my opinion. Guest guest
-Oh I forgot to mention again when they removed my residule capsule there was blue nodules and free floating silicone in my supposed saline implants. Don't forget about mold, fungus, bacteria Terri P -- In , Lynda <coss@...> wrote: > > I have to disagree with the fact that patients are reacting to a leak > in a saline implant. Guest guest
I had saline and I think I reacted to the silicone shell or the chemicals, or perhaps just having a foreign body in my body. Dr. Feng thought my reaction was from the shell. Sis --- In , Kenda Skaggs <skaggs@...> wrote: > > According to Dr. Kolb, not necessarily. Guest guest
Gretchy, I got sick right away and I HAD SALINE. Saline is NOT SAFE either!! If you reacted quickly to the silicone, I have the feeling you would have reacted to the saline as well. Guest guest
Ditto.....and I love the " smiley faces " !! Gretchen...please don't assume you would not have had a reaction to the saline implants. A lot of us here had saline and have obviously had problems. Some reacted within weeks to the saline too.!!! i regret getting silicone. i would not have got sick if i got saline. > now i may never have my brain back. > > > > > > --------------------------------- > Need Mail bonding? > Go to the Q & A for great tips from Answers users. > > > > > - > > > --------------------------------- > 8:00? 8:25? 8:40? Guest guest
Patty, Well said!! There is so much for us to remember that just keeps coming out. Terri P > > I just don't know how any doctor can know that, since nobody understands yet the complete mechanisms involved. > > For instance, remember the research in Austria that showed the presence of proteins on the surface of the shell of implants? You can certainly get proteins on the silicone shell of saline implants just as with silicone gel implants, as they are both foreign objects. Bodily tissues are in contact with the shell. Proteins are on the shell, and these proteins are what are supposedly causing the autoimmune response. > > I think sometimes it is hard for some plastic surgeons to be completely objective about saline implants if they tend to think they are safer, regardless of their good intentions. So many women have gotten sick from saline implants....I just don't think it is predictable who may or may not get sick from them. > Patty > > > Re: Re: Please comment on this article! . . . Guest guest
-, Very well said. It is hard for some people to understand I guess what others have gone through. We can only try to get through with our stories of survival in hopes that it will help to ease other peoples pain. You are a blessing and an angel for sharing your story. There has been so much suffering. But you are right about dwelling on it and stressing about it. After they are out it is time to try to get better and appreciate what you have.Alot of women have lost there lives. God bless you for supporting others after you have been through so much yourself, that is what this board is really all about. Picking up the pieces and helping others as best we can, when we can. However during those six years unknown to me, my immune system started to fall. After two years with implants I was diagnosed with IC, I had three severe kidney infections that put me in the hospital for days, I had a thoat infection that made me comatose because of a very high fever (105), they found a mass in my right kidney. I never knew all these things were related to my implants. At year five, it when all hell broke loose. My body finally lost the fight. I couldn't work, I could no longer attend my nursing classes, I couldn't care for my family, I had beginning forms of mental confustion and dementia. My body was so far gone I couldn't type without extreme pain. In fact, I had to use wheelchairs when I went to the store, mall, or anywhere with alot of walking. I am now one year post explant and I am starting to get my life back. The only time I suffer from the > brain fog is when I am extremely tired. I have learned to balance every part of my day. I should have spent the money on therapy to better my self esteem. I cannot spend my energy wishing on what should have been or what I should've done. My energy needs to be focused on managing the health I have and learning the lessons I needed from all of this. Every day I enjoy now, though still very limited in comparrison to what I used to be, I am grateful for what I have. I have learned to love, laugh, and live by new standards. Sometimes we take for granted what we have till it is ripped from our lives. > > Have patience, my dear, please focus on your healing. > > > foxygretchy <gretchenc@...> wrote: > i regret getting silicone. i would not have got sick if i got saline. > now i may never have my brain back. > > > > > > > - > > > --------------------------------- > Expecting?
