Wow. Wish I'd known about you when I was diagnosed in Jan 2001. At

the time, I felt very alone and told the doc I would NOT be taking

any drugs. Haven't seen him since. My uncle " died from " MS. He

shot himself after confinement to a wheelchair. His sister gave me a

book by Dr. F. Batmangeldg (sp?) entitled, *The ABCs of Asthema,

Allergy, and Lupus*. The info can also be found at

www.watercure2.org. It appealed to me because there were no costs

other than the frustration of changing certain habits. That's why

your description appealed to me as well.

My symptoms have decreased dramatically after eliminating soda,

coffee, and tea, and increasing water. Sometimes they are

unnoticable. This site came up because I was searching for the Zone

Diet. As a former athelete, I know what 'the zone' feels like, and I

want it again. I just didn't fully understand the book. I don't buy

meat, I grow it, and what I have available to eat is not listed in

the books I've read. For instance, a typical meal may have goat,

napalitos, spelt bread, and jicima - not standard American fare! It

makes it difficult to figure macronutrient blocks. Also, salacylates

and chemicals are completely removed from our diets, (including

cherries, strawberries, apples, and any artifically fat-free or

flavored foods.) Can ya'll help me get on track with the Zone Diet?

It's also great to know that others believe in a CURE, not

just 'management' of MS.
