I missed this about your neighbors. Sounds like it might have been good.

Would you mind repeating it for me.

Well this is what happened. It's funny now, but it wasn't so funny when

it happened.

& I live in a small lovely 24 unit senior citizen complex. We have

lived here for almost three years. And of course when you live in a

building like this you meet all kinds of people, and you have to learn

to live with them. Well for the most part we all get along very well,

and those who want to be left alone, we leave them alone. This one

couple has done nothing but complain since they have moved in. So we

just let them ramble on it never effected us, in fact we had been out to

dinner with them one time. Other than that, they stayed pretty much to

themselves. We recently found out that they didn't like the smells (as

they said stink, coming from my apartment (I cook italian, and I am a

very good cook, and all the other people in the building rave about the

aroma. Well come to find out, they tried to get a petition against us,

but nobody would sign it. They wrote letter's of complaints to manager.

I was told as long as I didn't cook body parts or my cat, this was my

home & I could cook anything I wanted.

He and my husband got into a little what to do in the corridor, so

invited him to our apartment to see if we could straighten this whole

thing out. He said he was sick of smelling the " stink " coming out of

our apartment. I asked him what he wanted me to do about it? He said

" go up and down the hallway with aerosol spray.

I lost it than and told him in a very unlady like manner that I was sick

of hearing him complain, and f he didn't like living here to get the

##### (you figure it out) out! Well he didn't like that left the

apartment, gave my husband the finger, and off he went.

Needless to say I was pretty upset, but when I calmed down, I went to a

store and bought a skunk (PePe La Pew), hung it on my door, it hung

there for 2 weeks, and it really ticked them off (I was told), so now

they are going, and I shall continue to cook and cook everything and

anything, that has garlic & olive oil (hope I don't burn it) hee hee!!

So thats what happened, I laugh now, but the skunk was a great idea, and

it worked.

Hey Mike, there is a story behind my quitting work. The state bought an old

building in downtown ton, restored it, built a parking building 2 city

blocks away, and moved my department into it. Needless to say, I couldn't

walk the distance. Three of my coworkers (more like guardian angels)

shuffled my vehicle around and parked it for me. They tried to make the best

out of a bad situation and they did. I hated it though. Anyway, during this

time, my health took a bad turn for the worse (probably due to stress) and

even being dropped off at the door wasn't good enough. I was scared I

couldn't make it to the bathroom if I needed to and you all know how much

worse it is when your stressed out. I could hardly move my legs. Soooo, I

didn't go back and it was truly meant to be. I spent 2 weeks saying " poor

me " and then decided to accept it for what it was. A BLESSING. I started to

feel so much better that I drove to ton and had lunch with my

coworkers. After getting over the pity party, I went to the mail box and

found that the Veterans Administration had granted me a 100%

service-connected disability. If you are a veteran you know what the service

connection means. Lots of money and lots of benefits. I can quit worrying

about 's education and a lot of other stuff. Now I just have to find

something to do with my time. I love to make things out of wood, like

birdhouses, but I'm having trouble getting my arms to cooperate. My arms are

so weak that at times I have trouble lifting them. If anyone knows how to

help with my arm problem, I'm all ears. (not really, but you know what I

mean) Anyway, the point is, and there is a point to all of this, that there

is someone in control of all of this, someone a lot higher that us, and life

would be a whole lot simpler if I would just learn to go with the flow and

quit fighting the LORD at every turn. For some reason, I can turn a

wonderful blessing into a pity party. I'm learning though and I'm expecting

my miracle any day now. Yall have a wonderful day. Your friend, Jeanne Ann

You're right. I have had a miracle. I wonder if I'll ever learn to recognize

them on my own. By the way, do you think lifting weights (2 or 3 lbs) might

help or hurt my arms. I also need to do something about my legs. I'm losing

muscle mass daily. Scary. Now that I have the time, I might start a workout

program. Anything would be better than nothing. Have a good one. Your

friend, Jeanne Ann

It wasn't a real skunk, it was a toy (I am not the bad that I would hang

a real one, but you know I wished I had thought of that, there sure are

enough of them around around here). We went to a toy store & bought

Pepe LaPew (not sure of the spelling). Now he is hanging over my stove

(where else). Hope that explains it better.

Jeanne: Congratulations on your good news regarding the VA. It sounds

like an exercise bike that also moves your arms forward & back would be of

benefit to you. Is there somewhere you could try one before investing in a

purchase? I have one, and when I get the gumption to get on the thing, I

really do feel better. Mostly, I just enjoy short frequent walks. So far,

only my legs are affected. The only thing I have noticed with my arms, is

that they fall asleep easily with any sort of pressure on them. Good luck,

Jeanne, and God bless you again, and again, and again.

Love to all. Laurel

I'm sending this in both html and regular text. Let me know if you get

it. Since we have changed over to PLS-FRIENDS, onelist has added

advertising to our messages and we also have to go through Bell South

telephone, I think. This may have created some problems for some of us.

Let me know if you receive this and what the text looks like. Thanks,

Mike Gray.

Jeanne,

I have no idea what the attachments are. My suggestion is do not

download them unless there is something in the body of my message that

gives you a definite idea of what is in the attachment. As for the

banners (advertisements), that is now something I believe we have to put

up with from Onelist, our sponsor.
