Guest guest
Hello carolineatwork, c> I have just been diagnosed as hypo-thyroid, but 3 months ago I was c> ok. Hair loss oftn occurs with hypothyroid c> So, I did - still don't know if the two are c> related (diet and thyroid). DR Bernsteins diet is very good for pre-diabetes and diabetic conditions -it isn't related , its a co-incidence If i were you, I'd go back on Dr Bernsteins as it sounds like you were happier on it. Many thyroid experts recommend some sort of low carb diet for hypothyroid conditions Best regards, Alison http://www.alisonashwell.com mailto:alison.ashwell@... new work uploaded http://www.artwanted.com/alisonashwell http://www.voodoochilli.net/artists/alisonashwell/
Guest guest
Hi Caroline, What did your labs show as far as how your thyroid is doing? Can you post them for us to see? Did the doc put you on any meds? Your first step in addressing the weight it to get your thyroid hormones to the correct levels... a doc that is just saying 'normal' or 'abnormal' my not be into thyroid health enough to really be taking the correct tests and treating according to the tests and your symptoms. If you are indeed hypo and the doc has simply said that you were on a bad diet and that has caused the hypo condition.. well.. I'd be looking into it a lot further, starting with what the results were of the tests he took and finding out if he even took the correct tests.
