Yup I would guess that it is a aussie thing. I for one have never heard of

it. To me bacon comes in a flat package with 19 other slices. No room for

bones in there.

In the US, ask for a ham bone or ham hocks. They'll make the same great

tasty soup.

Me too Nan! I used to make an awesome pork neck/pinto bean soup. I'll have

to make myself a low carb version when the colder water hits.

I live 3 streets up from the harbour - the cold water and weather tend to

blur together - right now it is FOGGY - darn mosquitos haven't died off yet

because the hot dry days of August never did get here :(
