Hi Angi & Kimber

I am an old hand when it comes to WW,

I did it last year with great success. Got down to

130lbs, I'm 5'4 so it was a good weight. This year I

have regained 16lbs, my own fault, quit smoking and

went mad eating instead. Now my weight has settled

down and I am trying to lose again, just can't get

back in the swing of it.

Anyway I have a link where you can get the points for

everything, without going to meetings.

http://www.angelfire.com/va/toni/WW123.html

Hope this helps, it also tells you how many points you

can have. If you need any more info, just ask.

Good luck

Sue :)

Thank you so much! I have bookmarked the site so I can return to it later. Now I

have a new problem. There are many foods on there low in points that I would

never eat, and foods higher in points that I do! For instance, I won't touch

peanut butter with a 10-foot pole, but it's only 2 points! But I eat brown rice

and that's 4 points! Now brown rice has no sugar in it and 1g dietary fiber and

only 1.5g of fat per serving. So it's really healthy! Peanut butter has way over

10g of fat per serving and a lot of protein. Peanut butter is healthy, too, but

it has fat! There's more fat in 1tbsp of peanut butter than I eat in an entire

day, lol. I'd have to give it a try and see if it worked. :-)

ummm-----well i like peanut butter---but i dont eat it----on the other hand

im not sure if i like brown rice at all. Im really not a rice eater----dh

has to have it all the time---not bring my a big baked potato---and will

talk!!!!

When doing points----you should think of your points as you would your

checking account --- find your point range (which is gauged by your weight)

and then use your point range like you would your checking account

Im alloted 22-27 points a day----I try (i do miss a day sometimes) to sit

down the night before and plan my meal the next day. you deduct as you

go-----Some people do banking----(i do)....say i was to only take in 23

points well that would leave a ballance of 4 points which i would carry over

to the next day. The only thing is you can only carry over 7 days in a

row-----what ever is left over YOU LOOSE....lol. On the 8th day you begin

all over again---It works----there are a lot of one point/foods----you have

to learn to BUDGET thats all----i actually find it really fun. So for you

peanut butter vs brown rice----i would say try to find a substitue or take

the rice

I could have lots of fun trying to get up to my allotted 18 points in a day. I

decided to test and see how many points I had yesterday. Ok, I just added it all

up and I had EXACTLY 18 points for the day!

Now here's the interesting thing. I calculate my calorie and fat intake every

day. Not including the apple I ate yesterday (i was too lazy to figure out how

many calories were in an apple, lol), I ate 635 calories worth of food and 3.5g

of fat.

Here's what I ate:

Breakfast -- 6oz nonfat yogurt

Snack -- 1/2c Fiber One cereal

Lunch -- Turkey sandwich

Snack -- 1c nonfat frozen yogurt

Dinner -- 2/3c cooked plain brown rice

Snack -- 1 med-sized apple

Lately I am just too lazy to eat and have been working hard to get my calorie

intake up while still eating healthy. It's just that I get full and then am not

hungry until after 9:00 at night. By then it's too late to eat. I plan to

include more veggies to up the number of calories I get.

But wow! 18 points a day isn't a lot of food or calories at all! You would

literally have to live on bread and veggies all day to stay within 18-23 points

while still getting enough calories for your body. I am shocked... :-)

LOL!!! Cooked tongues are only 2 points! Unfortunately, it doesn't specify if

this is human tongue or otherwise. Hehe... That's nasty... that's even nastier

than eating chitlins, lol! I wonder if they have chitlins on the points list? I

should go look... (sorry, this is just funny as hell some of the things on this

list, lol) Mwuahahaha... 2 points for chitlins!

LOL, yep! As of this morning I weigh either 142 or 143. The scale looked like

142, but I decided to go with 143. I was 169 June 1st, so I've come a long way!

Almost 30 pounds! It takes time, so you will get there. :-) You're in the point

range right above mine, so you're not too far behind me! It's good that you're

not hungry. I wish I wasn't hungry after 9:00, but I guess that's normal to be

hungry later at night? I eat my last meal between 5 & 6. I'm on a mission to

find high calorie foods in the 1-2 point range on that list, lol. Oddly, nonfat

frozen yogurt has less points than regular nonfat yogurt! That means I can eat

more frozen yogurt, get less points and more calories? Can someone explain this

to me, lol!
