Guest guest
Hi Becky, When we went to CT in Paramus, NJ for the free eval, here is what happened: They took all sorts of measurements of the head with this device that looked like a compass (for drawing circles on paper). Then they did a photo shoot of the front, left side, right side, back, and top views. They also put together this report documenting all the measurements and with copies of the pictures and sent it to us. This was helpful in getting our preapproval for our insurance company. We also brought a prescription for range of motion from out pediatrician and they showed us exercises we could do for this torticollis. (We had not been to a physical therapist for this, and his tort was not so bad that our at home exercises seemed sufficient). They answered all our questions and concerns and the entire appointment took approximately 1 hour. Also note that we had been very up front in saying that we would probably be seeking treatment from some place closer to Philadelphia, but they were still very nice and very helpful. In the end, we ended up going back to CT for the treatment and were exceptionally pleased with them. and (DOCgrad 10-7-03 (10 mos.) to 2-13-04 (14mos.) /PA) Scalise <becky@...> wrote: Can you let us know how it goes? Guest guest
And this was totally free right? They didn’t submit any claim of any sort for this visit to your insurance co? Because when I called my ins. co she made it very clear that they would absolutely deny anything that didn’t have a pre-authorization. I just don’t want to get there expecting free and then have to pay. We’re really tight financially right now and I don’t need any surprises. Thanks Becky and From: Filyaw [mailto:filyaw@...] Sent: Tuesday, February 17, 2004 4:23 PM Plagiocephaly Subject: Re: Getting h screened - To Becky Becky, This is exactly what happened at na's evaluation too! Guest guest
just so ya know not all ct do the 600 down we had to put a min of 1750 down and the rest in payments not sure why some are like that but that is just what ours requires Hilly From: Filyaw Plagiocephaly Sent: Thursday, February 19, 2004 2:45 PM Subject: Re: Getting h screened - To Becky Yes, they did not submit anything to insurance and they could have because they had a RX. I haven't seen anything on it. If you are at all worried ask them. They are very friendly and accommodating. They understand our worries and our financial concerns. CT will put you on a payment plan. $600 at casting, and then $600 a month for 5 months. It's a lot of money in one month, but it's better than the whole $3000. They may even work with you even more - I don't know.
