Guest guest Posted November 5, 1999 Report Share Posted November 5, 1999 My friends in chiari-land, It finally happened, I received a letter from Social Security saying that I was disabled and entitled to benefits. It only took 18 months for the geniuses at SS to agree with all the medical evidence provided by my family doctor, neurosurgeon, physical therapist, and pain management doctor. I should start to receive monthly benefits in about 30-45 days with my lump sum payment coming sometime within 90 days. All of you who are still waiting, hang in there, and APPEAL, APPEAL, APPEAL. They keep rejecting you hoping that you will go away. If I can be of assistance to anyone please don't hesitate to email me.
