A quiet revolution has been taking place in homes, workplaces, and

communities all over America. Led by mayors and mothers, little kids and big

corporations, this movement is changing the way we live and introducing

innovative ways to improve the environment through energy saving, wise use

and re-use of resources, and sustainable development practices.

WETA-TV, the Washington, D.C. public broadcasting station, together with its

funding and outreach partners, celebrated this national environmental trend

by producing a 3-part television series. The public television premier

broadcast was September 8,1997. The software will be released shortly. The

Planet Neighborhood web site contains all of the spoken material from the

television series, highlighted with video images and links to relevant

Internet sites.
