casey and others,

no, it doesn't say traditional medicine will be allowed, but it

doesn't

forbid it, either.

" MS Support Group - Multiple Sclerosis. - This is a group of people

who wish to share information on CURING Multiple Sclerosis.

Main subject: eliminating MS cofactors, MS alternative therapies and

beating MS.

Join this group and get the support and knowledege necessery for

curing

and preventing reoccurance of MS. "

i get, from this description, that any and ALL topics about dealing

with ms are fair game. if ldn were to be approved by mainstream ms

docs or the nmss, would people using it then be forbidden to share?

or

glyconutrients? or any other (currently) " alternative " therapy?

maybe

someone is on, or considering, an ABCR drug and is looking at

options.

maybe it's working for them and they want to add to those

benefits. " support and knowledge " can and should include everything

available. i joined this group with that (mistaken, unfortunately)

understanding. i'm getting tired of the exclusivity of this group.

i'm going to be looking for a more open-minded group. maybe i'll

start one of my own....

hi allison,

i think our definitions of " open mind " must be different. i am

stopping avonex, after 11 years, to go on ldn. i was never looking for

a " quick fix " , but a fix of any sort i've been willing, and open-

minded, enough to try. i am active, work full time, work out at the

gym 2 hours, twice a week. no, i haven't been healed by avonex, but it

could be why i'm still able to do all of this 11+ years after

diagnosis. i'm not advocating the abcr drugs, only the open-mindedness

of discussion.

assure you that it was founded to promote healthier alternatives to the

CRAB drugs. It takes an open mind and strong determination to heal

without looking for a quick fix. I'm glad we have many members who feel

the same way. If you feel better using the drugs, I'm happy for you,

but I've never heard of a single person who was healed by them.

The drugs ARE not for healing MS. They are for slowing down the progression.

All of the Docs and books have said the above. As of a matter-of-fact, there

isn't anything available to cure MS, as we all know. I was so shocked after my

diagnosis to learn there wasn't a cure for the disease I was just diagnosed

with. I had full faith in modern medicine, but, there isn't anything one can

do.

The problem is that progression isn't always halted and many people get worse

from the CRAB drugs. The prescriptions quit working and get changed after a few

years to another equally harmful chemical and other drugs are prescribed for

symptom relief. Rather than getting to the root of the problem, the disease is

masked. Many people feel that MS and other diseases are born of toxicity.

Adding the drugs compound the toxins in a body ill-equiped to eliminate them.

It becomes a vicious cycle. The drugs halt the progression for some, but give

them liver damage over time (for example). It's better to detoxify and rebuild

the body through diet and supplementation before the job gets too big. It's

working for me and I would like to see others benefit from my experiences. The

body heals itself with the right tools. Eliminating processed foods and

chemicals from the diet can limit free-radical damage. Supplementation can

rebuild cells and tissue. EFA's support myelin

repair.... To sum this up, there isn't only one thing that's going to be the

solution to overcoming MS. It takes a dedication to changing the processes that

got us here in the first place!
