Guest guest
Hi Janet, I did not see in your email where you are located. Perhaps you could let us know and see if any members have had personal experiences with that office. I believe there is a contact list in the Database section to see if one of the members here have used OP Starbands. We went with the DOC band, and from what I have read, their care is quite standard. I believe the Starbands act more like franchises so I think it depends on what office you go to. There have been many many sucess stories with Starbands, but as usual, go with your mommy instinct. Good Luck, you are at a great age for excellent correction! Kathy (mom to JT DOC 10/30) --- In Plagiocephaly , " janetappel " <janetappel@y...> wrote: > Hi, I am new to this group. Guest guest
Hi Janet, Welcome to the group. When you joined you were sent an email from the group, in that email is a comparison chart comparing the DOCband and the STARband. If you no longer have the email you can find the comparison chart in our files section. Good luck making your decision. Please keep us posted. --- In Plagiocephaly , " janetappel " <janetappel@y...> wrote: > Hi, I am new to this group. My son who is 4 months old has been > diagnosed with Plagiocephaly. Guest guest
Hi, I am located in Bedford, Texas. Thank you for the information. I was also told to check the files for a comparison chart. I will check that out and see what it says. I'm definitely going to go with my " mommy " instincts though! Janet > > Hi, I am new to this group. Guest guest
Hi Janet and welcome to the group. I didn't use OP, but I did start out with Hanger and switched to Cranial Technologies. After 2 attempts to get my daughter in the STARBand, I decided it was in the best interest of her to go with a product that is consistant. was 8.5 months when she finally started treatment and I kick myself everyday because I wasted valuable banding time. If your not comfortable with the amount of plagio experience/education of the ortho that will be treating your son, then seek treatment elsewhere. I was able to get my insurance company to pay 100% of the DOCBand (which was considered out of network) because there was not any other treatment options available in my area. Good Luck and let us know what you decide. Dustie --- In Plagiocephaly , " janetappel " <janetappel@y...> wrote: > Hi, I am new to this group.
