Guest guest
I would be scared to death. I think I would have found a bed and MADE them kick me out but then again, that's my personality. As patients (my dh being a nurse with ins and outs) we have SOOOOOOOOO many rights as far as telling what we want and don't want.....you know! When I was in the hospital a few weeks ago with pneumonia, they had this IV in my arm that was killing me. I hate IV's anyways. So, I told them, "I don't want this, take it out" and they said "we can't do that" and I said "what's going in there???" and they said "antibiotics" and I said "either you take it out and give them to me by mouth or I will take it out and when I get an infection, I will sue you." It was out in 10 minutes. next time she has to go back and they want to send her home, say "NO WAY". You'll see how fast they will kick a pregnant woman to the curb. it will never happen! Margaret, mom to the monsters Twins Hello everyone. I wish I could give you some happy news, but not yet. got to the hospital. They hooked her up to monitors etc. They told her she had her water break ( which she already knew) After being at the hospital for awhile, not sure how long her labor stopped. When that happened the stupid hospital send her back home and said, " Well maybe the water didn't break" She was told if she starts into labor again today to come back. You'd think they would keep her in the hospital. This is suppose to be a regional hospital. and are pretty frustrated right now. But is hanging in there and resting comfortably. No babies yet. Norma 1. While it is wonderful to share our experiences with everyone on the list as to what treatments do and don't work for us, pls always check with your dr. Some treatments are dangerous when given along with other meds as well as to certain health conditions or just dangerous in general.2. If you are in a difficult situation (doesn't matter what it is) pls don't be afraid to ask for help. It is the first step to trying to make that situation better.Have a nice day everyone. Guest guest
Geesh, I just sounded like a nurses worst nightmare! I'm really a good patient but my point was that we do have so many rights but people are afraid to speak up and get what we want or don't want!! Keep us updated.
