Remember when I wrote that I would like to meet some *real* Aspies/HFA/autistic people? DC is about 2 hours away. It never occured to me to actually LOOK for any autistic people nearby but I just looked at the group and it looks like they actually get together at real places! Scary. OTOH I need not be too afraid since at my current rate of " free time " I won't get to DC for a couple of years. I joined a local group (work- related) 2 years ago and have not been to one meeting! Too hard to find babysitting. I do have a smile on my face from looking at the group online and seeing a pic of the Capitol building.
