Guest guest
Hi Everyone I have been having a terrible time with fibro fog..(or just being pain dumb) First I got me a new lap top computer.. to make it easier for my self to stay in touch with family and friend's. well It took me three days trying to get the disk in the stupid thing before I just said to heck with it and took it back. I felt so STUPID when the guy at the store slipped the disk in and clicked it down whala.. no more problem..(dumb,dumb,dumb) the last few days has been really foggy.. I will go in to the kithchen and forget what I am there for.. or go to the bathroom and do the same thing.. then I will go into the kitchen to get me a cup of coffee and dummy me I touch the hot coffee pot to see if it is hot. DUH!! I have done the same thing with the stove.. Does anyone else go through this.. I am begining to fear for myself.. Second question.. My feet have been hurting so bad.. they are hurting to the point I cannot walk on them. which really makes life difficult.. I try walking on the sides of my feet. don't have much choice.. If I want something to eat or half to go to the bathroom..Can somebody please reccomend somthing for my feet. or have advice for the fibro fog.. Guest guest
> > I have been having a terrible time with fibro fog..(or just being pain dumb) the last few days has been really foggy..> I totally sympathize with you, Marie. I spent 10 minutes this a.m. trying to find the friggin' coffee from yesterday morning ... trust me, it was in a weird place (but not my cleavage... lol) I'm constantly wondering why I went into another room! (And I don't need that extra time on my feet going back and forth, either!) I'm been reading in some of these recommended FM books that gingko biloba can be very helpful, with no side effects. I asked my rheumy today about it and he said I should give it a try ... but please be sure it's okay with whatever else you take. >Second question.. > My feet have been hurting so bad.. they are hurting to the point I cannot walk on them. which really makes life difficult.. I now only wear really well-supported shoes (Wal-Mart has Dr Scholls' brands which are on sale sometimes for $14 and they are great - and light as air!). And when I'm home, I ALWAYS have a thick cushioned slipper on ... but elevating my feet when I feel that way works the best for me. I've also been told that stretching exercises can help a lot, too (but when they hurt, who wants to try that, right?) I hope this is in some small way a help to you ... I'll look for others suggestions, too. XOXO
Guest guest
Get thee some good supportive orthotics and probably bigger shoes - gel insoles too - I have terrible problems with my feet and bad shoes make this worse. If your feet are numb or sore its the shoes. I stand 2-3 hours at a time 6-8 hours a day. I know about bad footwear. While it is wonderful to share our experiences with everyone on the list as to what treatments do and don't work for us, pls always check with your dr. Some treatments are dangerous when given along with other meds as well as to certain health conditions or just dangerous in general.2. If you are in a difficult situation (doesn't matter what it is) pls don't be afraid to ask for help. It is the first step to trying to make that situation better.Have a nice day everyone.
