Guest guest
Wow, thats really interesting about the taping. I had never heard of it, but then again I don't know much about tort at all because Hannah didn't have it. Great news about the band being in early though! Let us know how it goes. , mom to Hannah, DOCgrad Cape Cod, Ma > I've been seeing lots of posts about treatment for torticolis so I > thought I would share our success story. Guest guest
I'm glad that you had success with the taping. It irritated my son's skin. Hope the fitting goes smoothly! Guest guest
WOW! You learn something new everyday. I've heard of taping adult's shoulders after they've had a stroke, but never on infants. I've just never seen it done!! Does it pull the muscles into place?? I've also seen it done to get people to improve their posture, but I'm not seeing how it works on infants Martz > I've been seeing lots of posts about treatment for torticolis so I > thought I would share our success story. Guest guest
, I tried to respond to you last night, but my son turned off the PC about half way through! LOL So here is my abbreviated post! We were talking on Tuesday about taping my son's upper back, if he does not strengthen those muscles on his own (in the next month.) I am most concerned about his sensitive skin, with the tape. Did you have any problems with that? Thanks, > I've been seeing lots of posts about treatment for torticolis so I > thought I would share our success story. Guest guest
As the PT puts the tape on she is applying it in a specific way thinking of the origin and insertion of the muscle and where she wants to get stretch so as the baby moves they get gentle cues and it gets them moving in the correct patterns if it is put on the right way. It's different than the tape that is used more often with adults although sometimes this tape is used with adults too, it's stretchy and soft not rigid at all. and Ellen in Westfield, MA > > I've been seeing lots of posts about treatment for torticolis so I > > thought I would share our success story.
