Hi,

Aggressive repositioning is a treatment for plagio, brachy, that can

be tried in younger babies when there is still a lot of growth

spurts going on. We saw the best result with repo between 5 and 7

months, although usually any results from repo are usually realized

by 6 months or so. It means positioning the baby 24 hours a day off

of the flat area, and positioning the baby's head in such a way to

get a more rounded shape, whenever possible (at least in our case.)

It's very demanding and difficult. Remy was only on her back to

change her diaper from 5 months old on, no swing, bouncie, only side

sleeping, hardly any stroller - just the front carrier, etc. Some

parents see no improvement from repo, some parents see some

improvement - so far we are one of the few who saw enough correction

to forgo a helmet/band. I am the Repositioning Moderator here at

the group. I try to help and support parents trying repo for

plagio treatment.
