Guest guest
Hi, I have never read a post on this list, mentioning the ear size difference. Our son Adam, with plagio on the left side, has a bigger left ear than right ear. I believe, that this is due to the fact that he spent most of his time, lying on his left side and pressing on the left ear, which causes the tiny cartilages in the ear to be squashed, causing the ear to be bigger than the other one. Just wondered if anyone else had noticed this, in their baby. All rush and measure your babies ears !!!!!. Ian. in a very cold England. Guest guest
Ian, When Hannah was born her right ear (plagio side) was literally folded in HALF! It took awhile, but did pop back out. SHe has a little dent in the cartilage there, but size wise they look the same now. Go figure my ped said the ear wouldn't fix itself, but the plagio would fix by itself. Sheesh! , mom to Hannah, DOCgrad Cape Cod, Ma (also quite chilly!) --- In Plagiocephaly , " Ian REDMAN " <IanAdele@r...> wrote: > Hi, > > I have never read a post on this list, mentioning the ear size difference. > > Our son Adam, with plagio on the left side, has a bigger left ear than right ear. Guest guest
Connor has different sized ears-- but this is due to a condition seperate from the plagio. His whole one side is smaller. Size of ears. Hi, I have never read a post on this list, mentioning the ear size difference. Our son Adam, with plagio on the left side, has a bigger left ear than right ear. Guest guest
I also have thought for a long time that one of my babies ears is bigger than the other, although I have not measured it. She had right plagio and the right ear is the one that is bigger. Combined with remaining ear asymmetry (0.5cm) this is what most bothers me about her remaining plagio. The ears are also at slightly different angles, the right ear sticks up somewhat more than the left. --- In Plagiocephaly , " Ian REDMAN " <IanAdele@r...> wrote: > Hi, > > I have never read a post on this list, mentioning the ear size difference. > > Our son Adam, with plagio on the left side, has a bigger left ear than right ear. Guest guest
I think my son might have this. I thought that one ear looked bigger but I dismissed it. He is in bed now but I will check tomorrow. I'll see if it's the ear on the side which he slept on the most that is bigger. He is two years old now. Thankfully my son's head isn't bad but he has such weird hair, a very strange cowlick and part which is unfortunate because if he had a normal hair pattern it would be totally covered. I'm wondering if hair patterns in children change as they get older but I just don't know! --- In Plagiocephaly , " Ian REDMAN " <IanAdele@r...> wrote: > Hi, > > I have never read a post on this list, mentioning the ear size difference. > > Our son Adam, with plagio on the left side, has a bigger left ear than right ear.
