I had no side effects at all. Congratulations.. Lona : Hi Everyone... : : I have a question. I am getting married in March in Las Vegas : and I am going to be on my period that week. Bad planning... I know. But : I'm on the pill and have heard of people skipping their period by continuing : w/ the active pills for an extra week instead of the placebos. Has anyone : done this? Guest guest Posted January 2, 2001 Report Share Posted January 2, 2001 Jodi, I take the pill in the way that you are describing but it's for medical reasons that I must skip my period. I've been taking the pill in this fashion for 3 years now and I love not having a period. It is a safe thing to do. If you would like to have information from a dr on this subject e-mail me off the list and I will tell you where to go to ask them about this. The question comes up often on this list where the drs are. I hope that this helps and if you have any other questions for me about doing the pill with skipping the placebo pills please let me know and I will do what I can to help you.
